Your CBD Store Offers Alternatives To Pain Relief – Woodstock, GA Patch

WOODSTOCK, GA — If you’re looking for an alternative to traditional medications used to treat various medical ailments, then a new business in Woodstock could be worth exploring.

Your CBD store has opened at 2340 Towne Lake Pkwy Suite 120B, and offers cannabidiol products used by many to treat inflammation, pain, insomnia, anxiety, stress and other conditions. Products come in forms of creams, drops, pills, lotions, lip balms, bath bombs and a select vaping materials.

Johnny Davis, co-owner, said the store has been open since mid October, and offers a healthy alternative to prescription medications.

“All pain medications do is just block those receptions, so you don’t feel the pain,” he said, adding CBD actually works to wipe out the source of the pain.

Cannabidiol is an extract from cannabis, but is not the intoxicating component of marijuana. So, ingesting CBD will not give you the euphoric feeling associated with the drug’s use.

The store’s CBD is shipped from Colorado and packaged in Tampa, and undergoes regular lab and third-party testing for its quality. Since opening, Davis said business has been steady. About 70 percent of its customer base is already familiar with cannabidiol, and the remaining patrons have read about it and are curious about incorporating it into their lives.

Your CBD store is part of a national chain of stores, which includes 13 around Georgia, according to Your CBD’s website.

Use of the extract has made its way into the mainstream. In June, the Food and Drug Administration approved the use of a drug with cannabidiol for the treatment of two rare and severe forms of epilepsy, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome, for children 2 and older.

Davis said the FDA’s decision indicates the public is starting to understand that CBD does not have the harmful side effects many have come to experience with opioid use. Those prescription drugs, he added, are not only bad on one’s organs, but can lead to addiction and, as the area has witnessed, countless overdoses.

If you’re still a skeptic, Davis said his establishment offers free samples to anyone who comes in and wants to see what the buzz is all about. They even offer pet treats and creams to try before you make a purchase.
